Folks,
Imagine for a moment playing
a game at the Bemidji Community Arena. A
place to warm up, along side a cup of Java Joe’s county famous roasted coffee
or a heaping helping of his culinary masterpiece “Crêpe de maïs
farcie dans un sac”(Taco in
a bag). How about using the commode
without having to step over smelly hockey equipment?
This does not have to be a
dream anymore. We are so close, we can
taste it. As stated at the banquet, we
still have work to do but comparatively speaking, we are just about there.
The reality of this project
seeing completion is within our reach.
We just need a little help.
Please consider making a donation of some kind, any kind. No gift towards this rink is too small. This is bigger than all of us. It is for the future, it is for the past, it
is for the present. I have heard
recently that some are waiting for us to break ground before they will give a
donation. That is awesome! If you fall into this category, please let us
know so we can count on that gift towards our total goal.
Currently, our goals are
modest. Only $25,000 and we can break
ground in the spring. With an additional
$100,000, we can potentially lower registration costs for our members by
completely exhausting the debt that is currently $485,000. Whether you are for this project or not, I
think we can all agree that reduced costs would be great in this day and age!
In closing, this rink MUST get done. With your help, it will be a reality. Our kids, our association, and our community
all benefit in the long run. To make
your donation, please go to www.bemidjiyouthhockey.org
, print off the pledge form and mail it to the address listed.
Sincerely,
Jeff Solheim
