Board Meeting Minutes

Board Members Present- Dan Dow, Hugh Welle, Dale Thompson, Tom Forseth, Clint Bruestle, Kevin Waldhausen and Tom Kuesel

Board Members Absent-John Pugleasa & County Representative Other Present - Corey Rupp

Called to Order- at 6:00pm by Dan Dow

Approve  Minutes - Minutes from 4/15/13  BCA Board meeting approved.

Rink Operations- Discussion was held about using the Zamboni for advertising of upcoming High School games or other BYHA related items. That is if we do not get a major donor for the Zamboni.  Clint did

not have the final numbers on replacing the lights over the rink. He will try to get those by next meeting. The Board discussed the use of a fish eye type of camera in the arena to allow games to be streamed over the internet. This camera could also serve as a security item also. Kevin will talk with Steve Lalli to look into this.  The donor board was also discussed & Hugh will be in contact with Jay Jones about this.

Financial Report- Hugh reported that the upcoming budget was very close to being finalized.  The Finance Committee will be meeting after the BCA meeting to finalize the budget to present to the BYHA Board at their 5/15/13 meeting.

BCA Summer Usage- Clint was approached by Troy@ ISD #31 about the possibility of the youth football program using the BCA locker rooms for changing. Clint explained to Troy that it was not possible due to the many issues involved.

BCA Board Legal Liability- discussion was held on the legal liability of the BCA Board members. The Board does believe that USA Hockey has some form of coverage. Kevin & Tom will look into this further.

Operational & Financial Clarification Agreement-The  Board spent an hour and twenty minutes discussing this document. Decision was to have the BYHA Board look it over at their next meeting and get back to the BCA Board.
