Board Meeting Minutes

Board Members Present- Dan Dow, Hugh Welle, Dale Thompson, Tom Forseth, Clint Bruestle, Kevin Waldhausen, Tom Kuesel

Board Members Absent- John Pugleasa & County Representative Other Present -Jerry Colley

Called to Order- at 5:5Opm by Dan Dow

Approve Minutes - Minutes from 6/10/13 BCA Board meeting approved.

Rink Operations-Discussion was held on several items. Primary discussion was on the startup of the arena for the 2013-2014 season.  Jerry will be starting the compressor system on Sunday September 22 around 5 pm.  Monday Jerry will be straightening the boards, taping the rink & starting to put water down. Tuesday evening will be for putting down the white paint and more flooding.  Wednesday will be the evening for starting to paint the lines & logos. Thursday will evening will be for finishing up the painting & logos.  Friday thru Sunday will be more flooding.  Ice should be ready for us on Monday September 30'h.

Jerry will, prior to turning on the compressors, finish cleaning the arena  boards with the help from Sentence to Serve program.  Jerry & staff will clean all common areas & locker rooms. Jerry has several other maintenance things that he will be doing prior to opening.

Tom Forseth got the PB Net connected so the wireless system & television working.  Tom will be working with PBN and others to get upgraded cables & upgrades done at the BCA.  Tom will be looking into getting a "fish eye" camera to be installed in the BCA, which Kevin said has already been approved by the BYHA Board.  Tom was given a budget of $1,000 to get this done.

Kevin is working on upgrading the TV adds. This will require an upgrade of software.

Dale is working on purchasing a new edger.  Dale asked for and received several comments from other arenas in MN about what edger they used & how well they worked.

Financial Report- Nothing new to report at this time

BCA /ISD #31- Dale reported that he has received the ISD 1131 game schedule agreement which he will sign & send back to ISD 1131. Dale & Kevin discussed the meeting that they and Corey attended hosted by Dr. Hess and ISD #31 about future athletic projections. ISD #31 invited all youth sports to this meeting to get an idea's of what they are missing & future wishes.  BYHA/BCA will continue to attend all future meeting.
