Frequently Asked Questions

When will the schedule be available?

The schedule will be available approximately two weeks prior to the tournament.  Although we reserve the right to start games as early as 8:00AM, we strive to schedule games in the afternoon or evening to accommodate our visitors.  Some teams elect to travel to Bemidji on Thursday prior to the tournament, but generally teams play late enough to travel Friday before the games.

Is tournament clothing available?

Skeeter Stitch in Bemidji provides tournament clothing. Our tournament staff pick up the clothing and will have it available at the rink.  An ordering link will be available on the tournament website. Clothing questions and concerns should be directed to Skeeter Stitch.  www.skeeterstitch.com

Is there a gate fee?

No.

How many games will we play?

We have always tried to guarantee 4 games of play over the weekend. The number of teams participating in the tournament will determine how early we have to start on Friday and how late we need to go into Sunday in order to get in the 4 games. We try to accommodate teams that have to travel further, but that may not always be possible. Please make parents aware of this ahead of time!!

Where are the rinks located?

You can find this by clicking on "Bemidji Arena Locations". It has maps to the Bemidji Community Arena (1st National & Sanford Power), Nymore Arena, and Sanford Center.

What level do we play in?

Because our tournaments are sanctioned through MN Hockey, we are required to follow their guidelines. We welcome teams from everywhere.  If you have questions about which level is appropriate, you should contact the tournament director.  There is also a chart listed about that will help Canadian and North Dakota Teams.

When do you need our roster and where do we send it to?

The tournament chairperson for each tournament will contact you to request your team's official roster and provide other information for the weekend.

What hotels are available in town?

You can find a list of hotels that help sponsor our youth program at the bottom of this page along with great places to eat, shop, and more. For all other hotels and information about Bemidji please go to www.visitbemidji.com or call 1-877-250-5959.

Do we need birth certificates?

Players do not need birth certificates. You should bring your tournament book with USA Hockey roster. Teams from Canada will need their travel permit for check-in.
