From Duluth News & Tribune:

It wasn’t quite as high-scoring as the NHL All-Star Game, but the Iron Range and Duluth all-stars did their best impersonation Tuesday at Amsoil Arena.

Steve Heller of Bemidji had two goals and three assists and Grand Rapids’ Travis Underwood had three goals and an assist to lead the Iron Range to an 11-6 win over Duluth in the St. Luke’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine All-Star Game.

Heller scored the game-winner with 0.4 seconds to play in the second period. The Iron Range put the contest away with six goals in the third period, including two by Travis Eddy of Virginia-Mountain Iron-Buhl in the final 72 seconds.

Tyler Pionk of Proctor scored three times for Duluth, which still holds a 14-6 lead in the series.

In the skills competition, Josh Archibald of Brainerd set a record in the hardest shot (95 mph); Hermantown goalie Connor Lucas tied the record with eight shots stopped in the breakaway contest, but Duluth East’s JoJo Jeanetta topped that with nine; Colin Magnuson of Duluth Central won the fastest skater competition, completing a lap in 15.72 seconds; and Heller and Zac Schendel of Duluth East tied for shot accuracy, each hitting four of seven targets.
