End of Season 3x3 Tournament
I know none of you are ready for hockey to be over. We are in the process of working out the final details for a 3x3 cross-ice tournament in March at the Sanford Center so your skater can continue to have a blast playing this awesome game. Your skater will be skating with the age group that they will be playing at next season. For example, if your child was a first year peewee or a second year squirt this season, they will be playing as peewees in this tournament.
2019-2020 Age Groups
Squirts 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Peewees 7:15 PM – 8:15 PM
Bantams 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Monday March 4th
Tuesday March 5th
Thursday March 7th
Monday March 11th
Tuesday March 12th
Thursday March 14th
Monday March 18th
Tuesday March 19th
We know that some of our teams are still working towards extending their post-season and hopefully those teams make it to State Tournaments and are still playing meaningful hockey games beyond Regional Tournaments. If that happens, we will adjust accordingly and their coaches will decide what they want to do. I hope we have that problem – Good Luck to those teams!
The plan for the 3x3 is to divide the players into teams as evenly as possible and play cross-ice 3x3 games. The format for each age group will be slightly different based on the number of teams created but the general idea is that there will be a round robin series to establish seeding and then roll into a tournament bracket. Every player will be playing each night scheduled.
Hopefully everyone in BYHA is excited to have a fun, end of the year 3x3 tourney but if you know that your skater will not be playing at all, please email me at brerud@gmail.com so teams can be made as even as possible. More information will be coming but please mark your calendars and let’s make this as fun as possible.
