PWB1 Tournament Weekend Note

January 2–4, 2026

Coaches and Managers,

We’re looking forward to hosting everyone for the PWB1 Tournament January 2nd–4th. I’ve already received a few requests regarding game times on Friday (Jan 2nd) to allow teams to attend the Gopher game at the Sanford Center that evening. Based on the schedule as it currently stands, 12 of the 16 teams will be able to attend.

Tournament Format

• Each team will play one game on Friday.
• After Friday’s games, teams will be placed into two separate eight-team brackets based on results.
• Those brackets will play out over the rest of the weekend, creating two competitive divisions.
• Every team will play four games total between Friday and Sunday.
• Regulation will be 17 minute periods with a resurface between games.
• All games will require a winner and a loser. We will be using our standard overtime format for any tied games.

We appreciate everyone making the trip and participating in this year’s tournament. Our PWB1 Tournament routinely has the best B1 teams in the state, so get ready for a competitive weekend! Thank you for your flexibility, sportsmanship, and for helping make this a great weekend of hockey for the kids.
